Shower at 36 weeks? (when I could have c-section at 37)
My shower at my 32 week mark was cancelled since I can't travel. So my friend is going to help throw me one here. But the date they came up with will be when I am 36 weeks (when I could possibly have my c-section at 37-38 weeks). Do you think that isn't a good idea, or does it seem ok? I keep telling DH that I think it's cutting it too close, but he keeps thinking I'm delivering in December (a bit optimistic I guess). Anyone have a late shower like that? I'd rather have no shower than put myself at risk.

It all depends how you feel...I personally think its definitely cutting it close and can become a bit overwhleming, but if others could help you out in setting everything up and getting it ready then maybe you'll be ok.

Re: Shower at 36 weeks?
i was due on july 11th, scheduled for a c-section on june 29th and had my shower on june 4th.....i actually liked it that way though because i didn't have everything sitting around my house waiting to be used for so long. one the baby's stuff was here it was torture waiting for him! good luck and don't stress- a shower should be fun for you, not stressful!!!

Re: Shower at 36 weeks?
I just had mine yesterday and I was 34 weeks. I think I would be fine if it was 2 wks from now, at 36 weeks. Really just take it easy and sitdown if you feel tired.

Re: Shower at 36 weeks?
Mine was originally scheduled for when I was almost 37 weeks, but we bumperd it up two weeks, so I was 35 weeks. I thought that was good. It's not that you can't get through the shower, it's just that its nice to have time to get everything home, go through, write your thank yous, and organize/clean the baby stuff.
Good luck with what you decide!

Re: Shower at 36 weeks?
Mine was at 37.5 weeks. It was hard, like it made it a whole day affair and I was SO tired.
But I was already not working and the tuesday after the shower my mom and I went to BRU and got everythin gelse we needed and I was totally done.
I had DS at 39 weeks, so there were only 10 days between my shower and his birth

Re: Shower at 36 weeks?
yikes, now my friend is asking if we could have it the next weekend, which would make it 37 weeks. That I have to say no to, since I could possibly deliver that week. I can't wait for them to schedule my c-section so i can be able to plan my life. LOL (yeah, because things always go as planned. *sarcasm)
