Shrimp scampi updated: found yummy recipe

I want to make shrimp scampi over rice tonight, since we had pasta yesterday. For those that make it with rice..which rice do you think goes best with it..white or yellow? and if you could recommend which brand as well..thanks!

I just found this yummy recipe...thought I would share:

Between yellow and white, I'd go for white. But we only do brown rice.. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Shrimp scampi updated: found yummy recipe

how about risotto?

If no, then I'd get yellow rice but I'd get the Goya Amarillo (yellow) rice. I actually make it in the rice cooker..

I only serve scampi with white rice. IMO, I find that the yellow rice has too much flavor (as well as being salty) and takes away from the scampi. I like to use a fragrant white rice like Jasmine or Basmati.

You're welcome! You got me in the mood for scampi but I have a chicken waiting to be thrown in the oven when I get home, LOL!
