Sia on the Ellen show
Is anybody watching this right now? I love Sia, she has such an amazing voice.
The performance is a little creepy. I didn't know she won't perform facing people. She is standing in a corner facing the wall while this little girl is dancing around. The little girl is wearing a blonde wig and is wearing a nude tank top...super creepy.

She does the song "Titanium." I love that song so therefore like her.  Did not know about her issue with performing forwards though!
Eta wow I just googled her and I'm shocked to see how old she looks  maybe I'm seeing bad pics. In my mind she's like 19.

I never heard of Sia, but just happened to be watching the Ellen Show. I had to change the channel - it was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen on (network) TV

She really has an amazing voice and I've liked her for awhile.
You would recognize "soon we'll be found" and "breathe me"
But that performance was soooooo creepy

She has an incredible voice. A lot of people know Breathe Me from the Six Feet Under finale. She also sang with Zero 7 in the early 2000s.
I watched her perform most of Most People Have Real Problems for KCRW (all of the videos on youtube) years ago and she acted strangely between songs. I don't think it's a gimmick.

no? I just wasnt sure (Im not familiar with her) if it was a Gaga type gimmick, you know? Just curious. Does she have stage fright or something, just wants the music to speak for itself, just wonder what its all about?

There is a band that I love called Sigur Ros and they perform behind a curtain at their shows. Yyou're supposed to just concentrate on the music and the visuals they show, it really is a cool experience. The first time I saw their faces was on the GOT episode when Joffrey was poisoned LOL

I saw Sigur Ros recently and they didn't perform behind a curtain, they actually were pretty outgoing and rock star like...watch Heima, they don't seem to hide behind anything,
That little girl dancing is Maddie Ziegler from Dance Moms. I think the dancing is so evocative and brilliant. I really love it.
Oh and Sia is a prolific song writer, she wrote Shine bright like a diamond for Rhianna! She is a hit factory! The new Xenophobia!

Sia is not doing any promotion or touring for her new album. So the Ellen Show was probably one of her only appearance. She prefers to stay out the spotlight. She appeared on the cover of Billboard magazine with a brown paper bag covering her head.
I don't find the performance weird! Maddie is a beautiful dancer.

Same here. She is incredible in concert. I love performers that don't fit into the mold. :)
