Side effects of Clomid or Progesterone?
Has anyone ever taken either of these, and if so, are there side effects?

Re: Side effects of Clomid or Progesterone?
I've been on progesterone suppositories. I would get abdominal pain after taking it. I was also incredibly bloated and may have gotten headaches from it but I'm not sure about that (I had a headache just about every day for those two weeks). The worst side affect was the very bad cramping I got right before AF arrived.
Everyone is different though

I have not been on either, but will most likely be on both very soon. I don't know much about progesterone side effects. But, I suffer from migraines and my neurologist told me that I will most likely have a big increase in headaches once I start on clomid.

I've been on 2 cycles of clomid. First cycle did not produce any symptoms. This cycle I was irritable and had headaches that lasted almost all day. I also took progesterone suppositories last cycle and had mild cramps.

I did two cycles of Clomid. I had some side effects - cramping, mild headaches, hot flashes - but, nothing that serious. I did take it at night though.

I had a really hard time with Clomid: hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, moodiness, poor CM, thinned out my uterine lining, the whole 9 yards.
Progesterone isn't as bad for me: GI upset, some cramping, sore boobs and tiredness. All doable though.

Wow, thank you everyone for responding. Good to know! Its a possibility for me in the future if I don't get a BFP in another few months, and I just wanted to know what I could be getting myself into.

Re: Side effects of Clomid or Progesterone?
i've taken both. i didnt have any side effects to clomid like mood swings or sickness..just felt like my ovaries were in a boxing match with one another. i could tell alot was going on in there..LOL
the progesterone i took as prometrium oral tabs and it made me insanely dizzy about 20 min after taking it. i would take it at nite before bed so i could sleep through it. but taking it during the day..whoa...it was like i was on an acid trip or something.
i've been told the suppository version has less side effects.
