side snap onesies????

i went to bbb and bought sides snap tees for nb is this the same as the onesies and are they really neccesary? what would i use for bottoms? im so confused

I really preferred the side snap onesies as opposed to the body suit style that snap at the crotch. They are very useful for leaving the umbilical cord alone. I just put a diaper on DS and then either a sleeper (i.e. footed outfit), or pants and a shirt. Some moms prefer the body suit style for when they are older to prevent the toddler from removing their diaper and making a mess.
