Sides Dish with Homemade Pizza?

For V-day we're making heart shaped pizzas. What is a good side to serve with it? I know salad... but what else? A fancy veg?

I cannot really think of any sides that would 'go' with pizza. But w/ my ds we make veggie pizzas & I let him put whatever he wants on them. We do broccoli & cheddar, spinach/feta/tomato, he even put corn and broccoli on his pizza once. He ate it & got his veggies in too.
You can do zucchini sticks, garlic knots, antipasta salad

String bean salad:

Steam 1 pound fresh green beans - shock them in cold water after they are steamed
Mix: 1/4 cup sugar (I use a scant 1/4 cup)
1/4 cup vinegar (I use white or white wine)
1/4 cup oil (canola)
1 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
1 1/2 tsp oregano

pour over green beans and allow to marinate at least 2 hours. serve cold or at room temperature.

grilled asparagus wrapped with prosciutto
grilles zucchini and squash
stuffed mushrooms
grilled portabella mushroom--you can top it with spinach and feta cheese or mozzarella cheese
baked clams

rice or capellini balls
garlic knots

When we make pizza at home, we don't normally put anything on the side. But if we order from a pizzeria, we usually choose from Baked Clams, Mozzerella sticks, Garlic Knots, Chicken Ceasar salad or Buffalo Wings.
