Siding is finished!
Here's a few pics of the house with the siding done, and the shutters up.
The siding is Certainteed. Front is Cedar Impressions, and side and back is regular clapboard. The color is called "Buckskin". The shutters are standard black. Image Attachment(s):

It's a huge expanse, so the stone foyer and the black shutters really break up the facade nicely. If we didn't have the shutters, and vinyl sided the whole thing, it would just look like a big wall of vinyl.

Thanks. So many browns and tans are sort of dull-looking, IMO. We used to love our neighbor's brown, but now his house looks greyish compared to ours. This brown is bright and lively, so it really stands out without being obnoxious.

They'll be teenagers soon enough.... a house is never big enough for 2 teenagers... 
Our parents are getting older, and we fully intend on having to have at least one of them with us for a while.
We all love books, so one room is going to be a library. No electronics allowed in the room. Just bookshelves, a desk, and a few chairs.
