*sigh* Cookie delivery to my husband's job
So, our kitty has been sick and my husband has been a good sport taking her to vet appointments and being 'the bad guy' administering all of the mediciations.
As a thank you I ordered a couple of cookies in the shape of cats by cookiesbydesign and had them sent to his office today.
Cookies by design called me to get more information, because when they dropped the cookies off, they have no record of that name in their computer. I checked and it is spellt correctly. Why do we get paychecks if he's not in the computer?? So I call his office main number directly and give the lady his extension and she says she can find him that way. (and then hung up on me without verifying the name.)
Now, a couple of hours later I call him just to 'say hello' and come up with a fake excuse to see if he says anything to me about it. He says nothing. I call the lady at the main desk back and ask if he got them, and she said "Oh yes, he just came down and picked them up, he was very surprised they were for him..." The time from when I called him to when I called her was no longer than 5 minutes so there was no way it could have happened afterwards.
So, what the ??? Did she give them to the wrong person? Is my husband just not saying anything and will say something later on tonight? Grr, trying to be nice is always so difficult.

I would....that way someone doesn't go home with his cookies!

Yeah, but if the frontdesk lady gave the cookies to someone else, I would bet she would not know who she gave them to. Unless of course she has them under her desk for herself.
They are so cute too!Image Attachment(s):

Call. Also if someone got the cookies & opened them, I'd be pretty annoyed. They would see it's the wrong guy on the card. Also - those cookies are delicious!

Re: *sigh* Cookie delivery to my husband's job
I called him and said "So did you get a delivery from the front desk" and he just said "Yes". I said "Good, they told me that you didnt exist." He said that he'd tell me the story later, so I guess more happened behind the scenes that I don't know about yet.
I have no cell reception in my office; so I was walking near a window on the other side of the building where reception is spotty and I got a text message from him at 3PM saying just "You little sh1t".
So, I'm happy that he got the cookies, but how about a 'thanks'.

I hate to say it but I bet every guy in his office is "meowing" at him. That's the only thing I can think that would warrant the text comment.

I didn't even think that it would be taken that way, I thought they would just want to eat one of his cookies.

oh lord. next time he gets nothing.
ETA: I actually signed the card from our cat's name. So, if my kitty was really good, I could have had nothing to do with this...

Re: *sigh* Cookie delivery to my husband's job
Yes, he got them. And he said nobody made fun of him, nobody saw them because after he went and got them he put them under his desk.
He said that the front desk called and left him voicemail that there were cookies in the lobby for him, and he just deleted the message because 'who would send him cookies'. When the receptionist called the third time, he was actually at his desk and she confirmed that the cookies actually had his name on them so they had to be his.
I don't know how they taste yet, but they are cute and they are HUGE - each cookie is about 5 inches tall!
