*sigh* Grrr....*vent* June Mommies....

Am I the ONLY one whose kid is NOT napping well?

he won't nap for more than 45 min-1 hr IF I'm lucky.

He's teething MAJORLY....drool is pouring out his mouth, whole hand in the mouth.

Teething tablets and Baby orajel don't seem to help him sleep longer either....Chat Icon

And even with eating cereal twice a day and a vegetable for lunch.....he's not sleeping longer.

And yes....he's still waking in the middle of the night.....once for a feeding, the rest of the time it's for the lost pacifier or gas.Chat Icon

i could have written your post.

DD is the queen of cat naps....30-45 min. I'm really lucky if she actually takes a nap anymore. The last two nights have been horrible...waking a lot. Before that she was sleeping 12 hours at a time. I think she is starting to teeth also. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: *sigh* Grrr....*vent* June Mommies....

Same here. Bella's always been a "cat napper"... 30 minutes on the dot. It's a rare occasioin I get a 45-1 hr nap out of her. Yet, in the car, she'll sleep for 2 hours! Chat Icon

She's been drooling since 3 months and now she's biting pretty hard. She still gets up once or twice a night, either because she's backed up with gas or she's hungry.

So... I'm just going with the flow Chat Icon

I said to my mom yesterday that I'm waiting for that magical day when she decides to sleep through the night Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Shes teething bad right now even though there's no sign of a break through. That plus the nasty cold she's got... it hasn't been the best of nights.

Jack is really pretty bad with naps also. Sometimes it will be 15mins - sometimes an hour. It's so frustrating bc you never know how much time you have.

He is teething so bad right now - and I can tell he is in such pain. I give him tylenol every 5 hours to try and catch it before the pain gets unbearable and he is screaming. Have you given him tylenol?

Re: *sigh* Grrr....*vent* June Mommies....

Do you have him on any kind of schedule?

Noah seems to nap consisntenly at the same time when we are home.

If we have plans, its all out the window though?

No set schedule aside from the 2 hour rule....he really can't seem to stay awake more than 2 hours.

Diana: I've given him tylenol at night and he sleeps pretty good at night...not sure if it's the Tylenol.

I just asked my ped about giving tylenol yesterday since jack was in so much pain. they said i can give it every 4 hours if he needs it. the last two days have been so bad that i've really been giving it to him even during the day bc he gets unbearable when he is in pain.

Re: *sigh* Grrr....*vent* June Mommies....

We've got a good mid-morning nap on the schedule (usually 1.5-2 hrs). The afternoon is really hit or miss.

And you've heard about our night-time schedule (or lack thereof).

i'm a may mom and ds naps ok but he wakes in the night several times for gas. his GI said to give him glyserin suppositories 1-3 times a day to help him pass gas and bm's. it's not painful or habit forming ( i cut them in 1/2.) it took about 2 weeks but it seems to have helped ds with his gas issues at night. now if only we can get over our colds and teething!Chat Icon

We have major nap issues here. DD usually sleeps anywhere from 20 min to an hour - IN OUR ARMS! Chat Icon As soon as we put her down, she wakes up. It's really getting out of control. Chat Icon

i know...it's always something right? Chat Icon DD has been a great napper and after reading some of the posts i will never complain about her again!Chat Icon she'll nap 2 hrs twice a day. one in the morning like 9-11 then in the afternoon 1-3ish. she can hardly stay awake during the day for more than an hour! she gets severely crabby.
nighttime is different though! she goes down at 7 and WAS sleeping thru til 5am feeding but now it is 3-4x and thats just for the binky!Chat Icon it's driving me crazy! i pop the bink in and she's fine-but i have to fall back to sleep and thats the challenge!
it will get better!Chat Icon i don't know when, but it will!Chat Icon
