sigh...longer stretch but wrong time
DD went 4 1/2 hrs between feedings and slept soundly for 3 1/2 , but it was from 4:30-9:00  ! DH fed her around 11:00 and she was wide awake for a while, now same thing. I fed her at 2:00 and she won't go to sleep. I rocked/swayed her for like 25 mins and it didn't work. Even the pacifier didn't knock her out like usual! If only she had done that stretch like 2 or 3 hrs later, we'd be golden! She's 6 weeks...any advice on how to make that happen?

Wow - you wrote this at 3!!!! That used to be me. No advice, it eventually evened itself out but it took months. With al the books and theories, I totally believe that a kid does not sleep at the right time until some type of matuirty happens, unfortunately....

Unfortunately your going to get days or nights like that. Was she crying or just up? When my kids are just up, I put them in the crib and they eventually go to sleep.
From what I've read and from what everyone is telling me, it does get easier!!
