Re: Silly hand towel question.
Hit enter to fast, cant edit on the ipad.
You have a hand towel on your sick for hands, obviously.
You also have your two shower towels in the bathroom, opposite of the sink. these are towels you and your SO use. You remove them when guests come over.
You have a service for your child and the teacher uses your bathroom and uses said shower towels to dry her hands instead of the designated hand towel. You didnt remove them, because well its early and you didnt.
Is this weird? I only know it was used because I went in after and saw the drips of water from the sink to the towels.

Re: Silly hand towel question.
Is your hand towel "fancy" or decorative, so that she might have thought it was for show? Maybe since the shower towels looked more "used" she thought that is what she should use?
Not to digress (but I will!), I've started using disposable guest towels for the bathrooms now, or at least the powder room which is used by guests the most. Although it is more expensive, it is just easier and my "nice" display towels stay nice, and I don't need to worry about washing/changing the used towel all the time.

Re: Silly hand towel question.
Oh, i gwt the fancy towel thing, but i dont do fancy towels i just thought it was weird she used a towel behind her across from the sink instead of the one on the sink.
I agree about the disposable one, I just dont have anywhere to put them. So i changed this hand towel everyday which is apain in the arse.

Re: Silly hand towel question.
I think it's weird and more so GROSS . . . From both angles. I wouldn't want to dry my hands on a towel someone dried their butt with AND I wouldn't want to dry my body with a towel that someone dried their hands with after using the bathroom! But then again, I'm also a germ freak.
Like you said, I don't know why she'd go out of her way to use your bath towels when there's a hand towel right there. Maybe this is what she does at home and just did it without thinking? That's the only thing that comes to mind. I do this in my master bath with MY shower towel, but that's totally different!

Re: Silly hand towel question.
My guess is that if it was just sitting on the sink, she thought it was dirty and didn't want to use it (I'm only guessing though from how you worded your post). We have ours on a brass ring right above the sink. If someone wants to wipe their hands on my wet bath towel I don't care.

Re: Silly hand towel question.
Same thing happened to me one time when i left out our bath towels and company came over. We have a small hand towel rack right next to the sink and the bath towels are hung on the opposite wall. someone still decided to use my bath towel to dry their hands. i do find it weird! i would never dry my hands on a bath towel, only a small hand towel. if there are no small hand towels, i will let them air dry!

Re: Silly hand towel question.
being that I've always had decorative hand towels and decorative larger towels on display, I don't think it's weird.
What i have is a small wicker basket with rolled up white hand towels that I have on the counter where the sink is.. that way, there is no confusion..

Re: Silly hand towel question.
I skeeved, and put MY shower towel in the hamper.
The towel on the sink, was clean. No one had used it yet. I had itnfolded nicely ready to go. It gets switched out daily.
It was not the no touch decrorative towel.
I just wanted to know if it was strange. I guess not
