silly laundry question
do YOU put the detergent in before the clothes like when the water is running or do you throw everything in then the detergent and start the wash?

The new machine has a sliding door for the detergent, but in our old machine, I used to put the detergent in first, then clothes.
The first time Rich did laundry on his own, he couldn't understand why his white socks had blue lines on them....he put the clothes in FIRST, then waaaaay too much blue detergent....he ruined a whole load  I had to come to the rescue and bleach everything.

Old machine- top loading was detergent first, then clothes
New machine- front loader- separate drawer for detergent.

That is so funny you are posting this. My sil came a few weeks ago and was telling my dh that he was doing it wrong! She starts the water, puts in the detergent and then the clothes. I have been doing that lately because then I don't get any detergent stains on the clothes.

before I met DH I put the detergent in then the clothes however DH prefers to put the clothes in and then the detergent...I dont like his way

AT my moms house, we have a detegent dispenser, but it mixes it in right away so it' still b4 the clothes, at FH's , no dispenser, before clothes. If you put it in after the clothes, it can stick on the clothes, not dilute properly and yes, give you blue streaks
