Silly Organization question?
Hi everyone,
How do you store your DVDs and CDs?
They are all over the place and I need a system to get them under control...
Are they all together
what kind storage unit
how do you easily retrieve them
how do you keep track of what you have

a few yrs ago I bought these DVD shelf units from IKEA that my Dad installed for me. they were $25 each and I believe that each one holds 100 CD's or 50 DVD's.
they're really great since they're on the wall and out of the way!

WE aren't big DVD purchasers and rarely buy CD';s anymore but for those that we do have they are in a shelving unit right next to the TV unit.

i threw away all of the packaging- and just have the cds and the book that they cmoe with
then i put them all in a zip up binder.
getting rid of the cd cases is the best- you will have alot more room after that
eta - dvds we have the in small piles in the 2nd shelf of the tv- hjere is a pic see under the tv Image Attachment(s):

Rich keeps them all in a zip-up binder. He keeps a few empty cases in a drawer just in case someone wants to borrow one

Same here. Zip up binder. Organized by some bizarre classification system by DH, eg. there is a "Singer & Songwriter" book & a "Skinny Tie" book
