Silly Question-- When should I send out her birthday invites?
The party is 2/7, the RSVP date is 1/25.
I would send them in the next few days-- but, do you think they will get lost in the shuffle with christmas mail, and people being away, etc.
Should I just wait until after the 1st, or does that not give people enough time to figure out if they are coming?

I just got an invite in the mail (yesterday) for a 2nd birthday party for 1/30 from a friend who is always super early. I'd say 4 weeks before is plenty of time for a birthday party, so you could wait another week if you are worried. I also don't think they'll get lost in the mail (maybe a little delayed).
You reminded me. DD's birthday is 2/14 but we have an out of town wedding that day, so I was thinking of having the party on the 7th too, but I have not even started planning...I think we will be doing it the week after her birthday.

I would send them out right after the holidays. They will just get lost in the xmas card shuffle/clutter. Let people get through christmas and then send them.
ETA: by lost I don't mean lost in the mail, I just mean lost on people's counters, tables, in their minds, etc.

that's exactly what I was thinking...
I guess it gives me more time to figure out who I am going to invite!! We have a laaaarrrge group of mommies here in town and I am so torn as to who to invite-- and sasha is the first birthday!!!

Randi - Samantha's party is on the 1/31 and I was planning on sending out invites the first week of January.

Ugh, can you just invite all of them? Where did you end up deciding to have it? And if it makes you feel any better, I think shane's bday is a week or so after sasha's and I have not even started planning his party. We're house hunting now and may not even be in the city anymore by then so I don't know what I'm going to do.

I sent out my DD invites 4 weeks before the party.
I think you would be fine sending them now.
