Silly question about Cake Smash Shoot timing
So, I love these pics. They look like so much fun and I'd love to have it on Sasha's party invite. Which means I need to do it very soon (she just turned 10 months, and her party will prob be 1/31).
BUT, I kinda want the pics to be taken around her birthday-- as a keepsake.
When do most people do them?

DS's Bday is 12/11 we did the cake smash on 11/15 with forever firelflies. During that shoot we also did our christmas pictures. Heather made sure that she sent me the cake smash ones as my teasers because she knew I wanted to use them for his invitation. She sent me the teasers in 2 days I think and then Ang-Rich designed the invite. by the time I ordered them, received them and mailed them out we were at 3 weeks until the party. Everyone who was invited already knew about the party because I mentioned the date to everyone since October.

I took the cake smash pics the week of his birthday, and used them for the thank yous.

I did them the week of her b-day as well and used them for her thank you. However, I did my own shoot, so I could choose when to do it.

I would do it as thank you's not the invite bc she will probably change so much between 10 months and 1 yr.

I am still so torn-- because I have TONS of personalized notes that I ordered when Sash was born, so I would just use those as TY's from her party-- but, I guess I can print the pics and send them with it. I just thought it was so cute for the invite-- but I can't wait too long send them out.
But she will change so much in the next 2 months.

J&M's bday is 12/30 and we are doing the photo shoot 12/15. I am planning on using the pics on the thank you.
The invites didn't have any pictures on them (but they just went out last week and the holiday cards are going out this week and have pics)

I'm using the cake smash pics for his thank you. For the invite we had pics done with him holding a big bunch of balloons. These were taken just before 11 months
