silly question... but I have no clue....
We are looking into a friends house in oceanside, they are in between realtors. We are considering making them an offer, but how would we go about doing this without either of us having a realtor? what would the steps be, should we get a lawyer first before we offer them an amount? thanks so much!

Lawyers dont negotiate for you. You should work out the deal terms with your friends and hire attorneys to prepare contracts if you can agree.
You dont need realtors.

to protect yourself and your friendship I would get the home inspected and figure out a price that would reflect the cost of repairs. Also ask them if the washer/dryer and things like blinds are included in the price. Then go to a lawyer to draw up a contract.
