Silly question for those who have a dishwasher
Do you ever notice that after your dishes are washed and cleaned in the dishwasher, the glasses smell. I've been noticing this lately and it makes me sick. I'll pour myself a glass a water or ice tea, and when I go to drink it, the glass smells like dirty dishes or a wet dog. My dh thinks i'm nuts, because he says he doesn't smell anything. i always have to hand wash my glasses and cups before I use them...it's so frustrating

Yes. The smell is awful. What is it??? It's total wet dog smell and my DH too thinks it's fine. It even changes the taste of my drink. Actually, I'll be honest, I think I added Jet Dry and it took the smell away. I haven't noticed it in a few weeks. I'm not sure if that's why it went away but try it, let me know.

I don't know, but it drives me crazy. at first I thought it was my water because it's filtered through my fridge, but it even happens with other drinks too. I wish I knew what it was

Re: Silly question for those who have a dishwasher
wow, i thought that was just my machine!
I actually like washing dishes by hand better (yes, it's true...) I hate loading and unloading the machine....I can let those clean dishes sit the dishwasher for a week....

Re: Silly question for those who have a dishwasher
Could it be moisture building up in the water hose?

I think it's putting the glasses away wet? The jet dry could help

Re: Silly question for those who have a dishwasher
I use a cleaner FOR my dishwasher....it comes in a bottle that you put it in in the untensil basket , and run it through a cycle without any dishes in it. Sometimes little bits of food get stuck in the bottom of the dishwasher and cause the smell.
You can get this product in the same isle as dishwashing detergent.

Re: Silly question for those who have a dishwasher
We have never had this problem. We have a backflow valve on the hose, use jet-dry and always use the sani cycle (maybe the high heat helps).
