silly question...can pregnant women push a double stroller?

So I babysit another little boy...chunky 30 pounder. My string bean is 27 pounds.

I walk with them, a lot. Twice a day.

I told Leo I need a double jogger, that the umbrella I was using isn't going to cut it if I am thinking about getting pregnant....he says there is no way any dr would have a pregnant women pushing that much weight.

thoughts? insight?

Sure, I would think ok... I mean your pushing, not pulling something. Yes, you exert force, but I think it's fine. I used to pull my kid and my nieces and nephews in the wagon all the time when I was PG with #2.

that's what I am thinking...my stroller now is hard as hell to push, if I get on that glides it will be much easier.

thanks

I wouldn't give it a thought actually. Things are different the second time around. Their are things you can't avoid when you have one already. So I don't see why you can't push the stroller.

I think you can. My doc told me that if I could keep doing things while preggo with #2 that I'd been doing before I got pregnant again. Like picking up dd, pushing strollers or wagons, whatever.

I would think so. My friend is PG with #3. She pushes her 2 in a double stroller. (her DS is 2; DD is 1).

I'm so happy to hear that you're really thinking about #2. Yay!!! Chat Icon I think I'm almost ready too. Chat Icon

I think that is totally normal! I think the doc would only stop you if you tried to carry 2 kids on your hips Chat Icon

I am also glad that you are thinking about #2 Chat Icon
Too bad I am almost done - I miss you on the preggo board Chat Icon

The answer is yes. Chat Icon

But honestly, I've given up on packing my "heavier" strollers (I'll use those if I can just wheel them out of the garage), and only use the umbrella stroller when I have to take it out of the car. It's going to be really tough lugging a heavy stroller out of the car in another few months I would imagine!

Chat Icon I guess so, huh??????Chat Icon

thanks all!

I am just going to leave umbrella in car...for going to park and stores, I think jogging will just glide more effortlessly.

Re: silly question...can pregnant women push a double stroller?

Chat Icon We are leaving Josh at home for the first time with my parents for 3 days while we go on a biking trip.

That was sort of what we were holding out for...

and I babysit a teacher's kid, so I was trying to be thoughtful and watch the little boy for most of the school year

I just need to do it. We want a baby, but now we know what we are in for.Chat Icon
