Silly WWYD ?

We are going to a BBQ today where we'll finally be introducing Eliza to some of our dear friends.

My mom bought some adorable outfits for the girls that match. DH wants me to dress them the same, I'd prefer not to. As a kid my mom dressed my sister and me the same and I didn't like it.

I'm not opposed to it, especially since DH mentioned it- but really, what do you think about dressing children the same? Do you think it looks silly?

BTW- DDs are 2 and 8 months old.

my mom always dressed us the same - usually in the same outfits but different colors.

i used to hate it but now that i am a mom i think it's cute Chat Icon

if you don't really care, and your DH wants it, i would do it.

Re: Silly WWYD ?

I think when they are little, under 8 or so it is cute, after that, I agree it can get a bit annoying

I think, for the sake of your husband, and the cuteness factor involved...I'd go for it today.Chat Icon

Re: Silly WWYD ?

I love dressing my girls alike, especially since they look nothing alike! One is a brown-eyed brunette and the other is a blue-eyed red-head. I think lets everyone know they are sisters, which I like.

I'm not a fan of it. I always told everyone if I had same-sex twins, I would never dress them alike because they are individuals.

Re: Silly WWYD ?

They are close enough in age to pull it off. My mom used to dress my sister and I alike but we were 4 1/2 years apart. I thiink that was ridiculous.

I think it's cute.

When this baby is born - there will be certain times I will dress them similar, and other times when they will have their own outfits. Do if for your DH! Chat Icon

Me too! Though for Easter I did put them in the same outfit but different colors so I guess I'm a big liar!

I VERY rarely dress them the same but if DH wanted to I wouldChat Icon

Every once in a while I dress the girls alike. Everyone thinks its cute. I am not a huge fan of it, mainly because my mom an aunt use to do it to my cousin and I when we were little, we hated it back thenChat Icon

Re: Silly WWYD ?

I'm not a huge fan of dressing alike. I think it can be cute (on others people's kids), but its not something I'd do for mine.
