WWYD silly guilt feeling re: soon to be 2nd baby and musical mobile used for 1st baby.

DH and I were preparing some things last night for the 2nd baby coming very soon. One of the things was putting the Tiny Loves mobile onto the crib. My 1st son loved this mobile. The music is great, lasts long and the turning off all the funky little charactes and shapes is real cute.

This is the mobile in case anyone want to look:Mobile

So, my DH accidently broke the wire connection inside the mobile which makes it spin around so now it just plays music, doesn't spin. He told me it was no big deal that it doesn't spin but I'm feeling so guily to leave it like that for 2nd baby.

Would you go out and buy a new one for the 2nd baby or would you just leave it?

I would first see if the new baby likes just the music. If that doesn't work, then go get a new one. Chat Icon

Part of the big sell on those mobiles is the *way* it moves. We had the same thing happen to our first mobile and wound up just buying a new one.

Why not call Tiny Love and see if they'll give you a discount on a new one or a replacement part? I wish we had, but we waited until we really needed it before we figured out something was wrong.

If it were me, I'd go buy another one, but calling Tiny Love first to see about a replacement is a good first choice. I don't think I'd leave the mobile on the crib if it didn't move around.
