similac rtf bottles?
What nipples to do use if you use the rtf bottles? I bought the 8 oz bottles for a trip we are taking but now dont know what nipple and ring to use! Similac only sells "infant" ones and my dd is 8 months old and on medium flow. TIA

medella or playtex work with the rtf bottles. Just make sure you get the correct size rings.

It says use any standard size, but I will tell you that the Dr. Browns don't really fit...they leak all over b/c the ring is too high so the nipple goes in...I still use it b/c I rarely use the 8 oz rtf bottles so I just deal with the leaking.

They don't leak if you put in the little brown circle piece (haven't done this personally but, I've seen it done).

I bought those for a trip when Ann was younger purchased Evenflo nipples & rings and they LEAKED so I would not suggest those!

Oh, I had this thought too...Bring one or 2 empty bottles of whatever you normally use and just pour the rtf in right before you need it.

That's what I usually do (we use Born Free bottles so the rings don't fit and DS doesnt drink the whole bottle in a sitting).

I used the Dr. Brown's nipples (any size that you need) with the evenflo nipple ring...they sell them in packs of three...
worked perfectly!!

thanks everyone! I do sometimes just dump it into my normal bottle but this time I don't want to woory about carrying the extra bottles and dirty bottles.... just kinda wanted to use it and throw it away.

you really dont have to use all those other bottles.....buy the Evenflo rings....they really work...trust me...
I used those RTF bottles for one full year...I never gave her powder....in fact, I shipped 250 Similac RTF bottles last summer when I went to Greece for three months!!!
