Re: Simple Human Trash Cans

I have one and I hate it...so I vote no! OXO has one I like- not as "pretty" as far as trash cans go, but better. I just can't bring myself to throw out an expensive trash can even though I hate it.

I LOVE mine.

the garbage bag never falls into it and you dont have to see the ends peeking out of the top.

I don't own one but this weekend I was at my cousins new condo and they just got a Simple Human.

Honestly, its a lovely trash can but I have the Oxo and couldn't really tell the difference.

Oxo - got it at Linens and Things with 20% off coupon

I love it! It was pretty expenisve but we got 20% off from bed bath and beyond. I think it is similar to the simple human ones.

I have a SH one and it just eh... I don't buytheir bags, I just use normal bags in it. Not worth spending the money IMO.

Re: Simple Human Trash Cans

I have a simplehuman and I buy the bags. I like that the bags fit perfectly and you don't see it when the trash can is closed (MIL even pointed this out - haha). I got it with the 20% off coupon at BBB.

I did comment to DH that I though it was alot of $$$ for the can. I might buy a different one if I coudl go back in time and save some $$$

Re: Simple Human Trash Cans

I found the simple human cans not to be space conscious. I have one that takes up less room in my kitchen and works just fine.

Also, it's a garbage can..how much am I really spending on this?

I say no. There are other similar models made by other companies that are less expensive.

I have the under the sink one, and love it. For two people, it's plenty big too.

Re: Simple Human Trash Cans

We have one and we LOVE it but it's not worth the money. There are a lot of other brands that make the same styles but cost less.

We got ours when it first came out because we have an 90lb Lab who likes to knock over garbage cans so it's was worth the money to have a dog proof can. No more mess and no worrying that we'll end up paying for surgey if he gets into the trash....

Re: Simple Human Trash Cans

We have the butterfly one and it's totally worth it.

We got the bags too because of the shape.

It feels weird to say I love a trashcan, so let's just say I have a major crush on it!! Chat Icon

Re: Simple Human Trash Cans

I got one as a shower gift off my registry and returned it. it was pretty challenging to put a trash bag inside and I wasn't about to pay so much $ for the special bags they require. IMO, not worth it at all! I ended buying an OXO trash can for $40 ($32 w/a B,B&B coupon) and its great!
