Is that so you can bring it in the water or just to protect it on the beach? I would need the professionally sealed one. Not a chance I'm putting my camera & lens that cost $1300+ in a plastic bag.
You do have the right place though - B&H has the best prices.

just the beach, as a sand protector. My DH said he will buy the bag, but a cheapie camera to put in it, that he doesn't trust it.
thanks!!
also, I learned B&H from you! thanks!

This is a hard plastic case that you can put your camera in...it's over 100 dollars though...

If it's just to carry the camera in to protect it from sand, yes that's fine. But to bring near the water, no way. I would only use a professional underwater housing made for the camera.

I'd trust it as a protector at the beach, but not for in the water.

I have something like this for my powershot and its fantastic. We've taken pictures underwater with no problems and it also protects it from sand (which ruined my last camera)
They definitely have them on ebay.

Re: Since I know a lot of you guys have SLR cameras..
We did look into it for the SLR when we went on our honeymoon but just didn't want to spend the money. We were more inclined to buy the one for the smaller digital camera but didn't do that either. I think once we get back into scuba diving though we will get a case for one of the cameras.

Re: Since I know a lot of you guys have SLR cameras..
thanks everyone. I did not think of the heat..i wonder if that would be a factor.
I guess it would also be great to have a case for snow too. I just don't want to have to leave the camera at home and miss any baby moments.
