Sitting Up? How old was your DC when they could do this o their own?
Just wondering....DD is almost 6 mos but still seems to have a ways to go before she can do this on her own without falling over to the side. TIA!

Andrew was between 7-8 months before he sat up.

She started around 6 months. She was still wobbly though and would occassionally fling herself backwards.

6 1/2 - 7 months for my younger 2.
My oldest was about 6 months.

Sarah is just 6 mths now and can sit up for about 30 secs before falling over  Maybe in another month she'll be able to do it.

5 months, I think it was the bumbo that got him ready for it though.

5 months exactly. I also think the Bumbo helped.

He could "tripod" around 5 months, and then around 6 months he could sit up for short amounts of time on his own, then by 6.5 months he could sit up really well for an extended period of time.
I will say the last one just came out of no where, all of a sudden he was sitting really nicely (and I am such a good mother that I noticed it at the gtg at my house )

I wanted to add that I used that Bumbo thing all the time and it didn't help us. SO don't worry if you are using it and it is not working. It will happen.
It did help get good upright pictures though
