want to take DD to an amusement park ... Dutch wonderland is out we want to go next Friday and we cant stay overnight anywhere cause we have plans the whole weekend.

I was thinking six flags haven't been there in a while and never paid attention to the kid portionChat Icon the web site seems like they have a good amount of rides for them. is it worth going? do you still get to drive through the safari I think she might like that.

any other suggestions? I am not sure about water parks we took DD to Florida in may and took her to the Disney water park and she wanted nothing to do with it. granted she just got over being sick and apparently it took her a while again this summer to get use to the pool I just don't know if I want to risk going to a water park and then she not do anything.

I would go to Lake Compounce, it's a short drive from Bridgeport if you take the Port Jeff ferry over. My kids love it. It's half amusement, half waterpark. Parking and food is inexpensive. Free soda all day (if you drink it).

We went to Six Flags years ago and I thought it was gross. It's probably better now, but I would still go to Lake Compounce. Very family oriented park.

I agree with PP. Lake Compounce is so much better. I went in June to six flags and it's too crowded and so expensive.

What about Adventureland? Tons of kids rides.

I went to Six Flags last week and they do have a good amount of kid rides but they seem almost hidden. Knew about Bugs bunny land but didn't go in my 6yrold dd thought she was too big and we didn't bring our 11mos old.

Went to Lake Compounce last summer. Loved it but my 17yr old wAnted to do something different this year.
