Skechers orders: Did anyone else get a cancellation of their order?

This morning I got a bizarre e-mail from Skechers stating that they've canceled my order b/c my credit card had insufficient funds. Before I call them any blow a gasket, I wanted to know if anyone got the same e-mail & if it stated the same reason for cancellation.

Mini Update: I just called my credit card company and they charged me and then canceled my order. So I have $55 worth of charges on my credit card and they weren't planning on sending me the 3 pairs of sneakers. It's not even as if they issued a credit to my credit card account. They don't open until 9:00AM Pacific time. Boy, am I going to give them a piece of my mind. Make sure that whatever they do with your order is accurate.

yes I got an email this morning canceling my order order of 5 pairs but the reason for ALL of them was

"This item was cancelled due to unforseen circumstances, it will not be shipped and your credit card will not be charged. "

and this is how they plan to rectify:

"We'd like to offer you 15% in savings to replace your order because we
still want you to get your SKECHERS. Go to skechers.com, add products
to your cart and enter the promotional code BTNM062320

I got the same email I'm waiting until they open then they're going to hear it from me. Never will I buy from them again. What a scam

My order totalled $27.50, well I just called my credit card company and they charged me 3x--one for $10; one for $17.50 and one for $1. So they did charge my credit card and the overcharged me on top of that. It's only $1 but still

Ok I just got through to them and they said all orders using the 50% off code were cancelled b/c that code was only to be used by Skechers employees. Apparently a hacker got in and got the code. Apparently they didn't "charge" my credit card but have an "authorization hold" and that authorization hold will come off my account since they (skechers) cancelled the order. I called my credit card company and they said that I should call back on March 2 to make sure that these charges don't go through. What a pain!

I t doesn't sound legal for them to do. They should def honor the 50% code.

yup, mine got cancelled too

ETA: They emailed me saying there was a problem with my credit card # and so they cancelled it...but offered me the 15% discount too. Shady I just double-checked the # I put in, and it was right. Looks like they're fibbing

To be on the safe side, save ALL emails from them and call your credit card companies next week to make sure the charges didn't go through.

Sorry guys! I didn't know it was a "stolen" code. Of course now they lost a ton of customers that may have ordered from them in the future, so they should've just honored the orders!

Don't apologize. How would you have known? I'm just annoyed with skechers one for cancelling the orders and two for sending out bogus reasons as to why our orders were cancelled and three for the attitude I got when I called them I won't ever order from them again.

I actually just got an email that says please look at our new interactive catalog
but when I first looked at who the email was from i thought it was to cancel my order its probably just a waiting game now

I just spoke with them and they said that they can't honor the code b/c it's not like it was just 50 customers. They said that thousands of orders were placed using the code that was accessed through hacking into their system. I guess I couldn't be too mad at that. She also said that I really haven't been charged...it's an authorization for the funds not really a charge for them. Oh well....bye-bye inexpensive sneaker order.

ok I never got an email but my order has disappeared and they charged me $16 and then $1 weird

so I call and they are only open til 1pm
who is only there until 1pm??????????

I haven't called my CC compnay yet, but guys... the $1 charge is not really a charge. Its just a sort of authorization "hold" that never really appears on your statement (or shouldn't) the CC company releases that hold.
Everyone from gas stations to grocery stores do it during the charge process to make sure the card is good and active.

Its not worth it to me, bnut you can try to fight it. Report them to BBB or threaten too.

Me and Porruss went through this with babysupermall I think it was.

We ordered swings and the price was "Wrong" ( It was like $100 off...We all fought it with BBB and got them to honor the price.

I didnt order any sneakers or anything but I was thinking....How secure is their site???? Someone hacked in and stole the code right??? Did they get a hold of anyones cc information too???? I would keep an eye on the cards everyone used on this site..( I realize this was after the fact but you never know)
