Skinny Jeans / Capris / leggings - Dress
So i love dresses - short tunic style dresses - not formal dresses -summer dresses. But I dont like my legs. So the only way I can wear these dresses is to wear them over skinny jean capris or regular capris....do you think this is odd or looks odd?

I think capri leggings or bermuda length leggings would be okay in certain instances but any jeans or other capri is odd. I also think it would depend on the dress.

I think it really depends on how it all looks together as an outfit.
It could look like a really cool, modern salwar kameez if done correctly!

Some of those tunic style dresses are so short they should be shirts anyway! Depending on the actual dress/tunic, you should be fine. I think it's more of a fall look, but if that's how you feel comfortable, rock it!
If you google dresses with leggings, thousands of pictures come up!

I personally am not a fan. I just don't like the look.
What don't you like about your legs? I've heard the Sally Hansen airbrush legs can work wonders!

Re: Skinny Jeans / Capris / leggings - Dress
Thanks...my legs are chunky around the thighs and knees so I know knee length dresses are okay but hard to find and they have to hit at the right spot...if they are midi then they look odd on me so it has to be maxi or exactly at the knee to hide my chubby knees...I wish sally hansen would help but unfortunately it wont!!

I hate my legs too & started buying Loft dresses in "tall". I'm only 5'6" but my office is pretty conservative and then coupled with the fact that my legs are PALE, the size Tall dresses work awesome! They hit me right in the middle of my knee. :)

Re: Skinny Jeans / Capris / leggings - Dress
I agree that you have to put it together and see how it looks. I bought online some tunic dresses, and when i got them, even though I'm short, they were short for me to wear daily to the playground or school, etc. So I have been wearing them with skinny beige and white pants, jeggins, and wedges or flats; and they look cute and are very comfortable.

I have to say Im not a fan. Not even for fall though I agree its a look more for fall not summer. I would stick with knee length skirts/dresses if your that uncomfortable. Maxi dresses or skirts Bermuda shorts Capri leggings but with a shirt that covers the tush not a dress You could even do a dolman sleeve long top love that look with leggings
Theres lots of options if you don't want to wear short shorts or minis.

Re: Skinny Jeans / Capris / leggings - Dress
A lot of it is just trying it on to see what looks good.
I have a couple of these long tunic tanks.
I had to experiment with about 6 different pairs of Capri style pants yesterday.
Finally they worked best with a pair of boyfriend Capri style jeans I have.
They looked odd with the other stuff I had.
