Sleep questions for 12 mos babies or there abouts
We've had a pretty set nap schedule but I'm curious do you stick to a schedule or do you follow cues. Today she was rubbing her eyes and yawning but only like an hour and a half after she woke up I feel like she rubs her eyes for other reasons now too like just regular crankiness or frustration at the end of a meal. Just wondering whether your kids still give cues and do you follow them if it conflicts with their normal schedule. Thanks!

I follow cues....
there will be days when they don't last as long as they normally do, and days when they go longer.

I do both. If she seems really tired I let her take a nap earlier. Sometime though I put her in according to the schedule. As long as she takes one I am happy.

Me too. Grace will sleep for 2+ hours during the day (one nap) and 10 hours at night straight through. Sometimes she will take another 45 minute nap in the late afternoon if we had a day of running around.

I think I pretty much do both. I know that she is ready for a nap about 2 hours after she wakes up. If it's earlier or a bit later, I let her go with it. I also know she is ready for a nap around 3-4 in the afternoon. I try to get her down around 3, but if it isn't til closer to 4, I just let her be. She sleeps 10-11 hours at night and usually takes 2 2-hr naps during the day.

Following cues now. I think we're in the transition stage from 1 to 2 naps. When I put her down in the morning, she doesn't nap. Then she is tired a little later, so lately, its been 1 nap only.
