Sleep Sack or Blanket?

DS is 9 months old, and at his last doctor's appt., she said we still should not use a blanket for him. We used sleep sacks last winter, and they were great, but I'm wondering if he will put up with them now that he can crawl and stand.

What did you do for your baby around this age when the cool weather came?

TIA!

Re: Sleep Sack or Blanket?

Im going to either get the sleep sack with holes for the legs to come out of or just put on warm pjs with onesie. DD isnt ready for a blanket.

Thanks! I didn't know the Sleep Sacks came with holes--I'll have to look for them. I'm kind of nervous about blankets, plus people tell me they often throw them off anyway.

I'm picturing him pitching a fit in the gown sack when he realizes he can't stand in it. Chat Icon

Re: Sleep Sack or Blanket?

DD is 14 months old now, and this winter I plan on using the OneStepAhead ones with the feet posted, or Halo supposedly makes similar ones. I do not plan on using a blanket.

My DS is 11 months and he still wears a sleep sack to bed. He still wears the ones without the feet openings but Halo sleep sack does sell ones with feet openings.

Re: Sleep Sack or Blanket?

My DS is 17 months old and we still use the regular Halo sleepsacks. He can stand up, even walk in it. He loves it, and so do I.

Re: Sleep Sack or Blanket?

We use the Halo sleep sack with opening for the feet. They are perfect! They sell them on Amazon for $19.99.
