Re: sleep times
Lauren is a blessing. She'll go down between 8-8:30 p.m. and wake around 8 a.m. Never a problem. She is 6 months.
Andrew as you know is 2-1/2 and was always 9-9. Lately, he's been a terror to get to bed. The other night he fought us for three hours, yes 3 hours!!, crying so hard and eventually throwing up on himjself and all over his bed around midnight I layed down with him after I changed him, his bedding, etc., and he was asleep in 5 minutes. Go figure. Last night he was in bed by 8:30. I hope that stays.
Oh, and it seems like I can't let Andrew nap because he just can't fall asleep when we put him to bed.

Re: sleep times
I have a two month old..and we have gotten her into a routine she goes to sleep b/t 8-9 and gets up b/t 2-3 for a feeding and goes back till 7-8. I am just wondering in order to have her eventually not need the 2-3 Am feeding will she have to go to bed later then 8-9. How do you get them to eventually not need that feeding or do they just do it themselves. I have tried to keep her up a bit later but she starts to get cranky and just wants to go to bed.
Thanks

Re: sleep times
They go to bed about 8:30, sometimes 8:45 when they finish thier last bottle.
They sleep until normally 7:00 - 7:30 but some days recently it has been 8:00, but I think that was due to a cold. I can leave them in their crib until about 8:30 though.

My DD does this and is 4 months...I wish she would give up that 4:30 feeding. She goes to bed around 9.

Re: sleep times
Ryan is 11 weeks and goes to bed around 8 and sleeps til about 6ish. He used to wake at 3am to eat but stopped on his own. I have no idea how this schedule came about, he basically set it himself a couple weeks ago. I used to "dream feed" him at 10ish (per the baby whisperer book) but realized he didn't need it anymore and he still sleeps through. If he doesn't nap in the afternoon (which is usually the case) I try to put him down earlier.

Re: sleep times
Ava goes to bed at 7pm, usually sleeps till 6:15am, has a bottle and goes back down till 8am. Lately, since being sick, she's gotten up at 4:30-5am for a bottle because she falls asleep before finishing her last bottle the night before. But she goes back down.

Re: sleep times
Ella's 4.5 months. She usually in bed by 8:30 and will usually wake up for 10 minutes around 2am to eat, then go back to sleep until 8am.
But, we just cut out the night feeding last night, so hopefully her schedule is now ~8pm-8am.

same here. i wake her in the morning, otherwise she would sleep forever! DD is only 3 months old though. she wakes up once for a feeding at night (most of the time- last night did not). any later than 8 pm, and she's a nutcase! it can take her two hours to fall asleep!

some moms are lucky & their baby will sleep through the night early on. but i don't think this is very common. remember, all babies are different and are maturing at different rates neurologically. at 2 1/2 months you should expect to get up once to feed. according to the sleep books i've read, you are very unlikely to cut out that nighttime feed by keeping them up later. in fact, that will make it harder for them to fall asleep (as you've seen). you may want to try waking the baby up around 11 (or before you go to bed) to feed and see if that works (my ped recommended that but we haven't tried it- i don't mind getting up to feed her). DD is over 3 months now and i know she is perfectly capable of going the entire night without a feeding (she is in the 95th percentile for weight) so sometimes i will go in & put a pacifier in her mouth if she wakes up in the middle of the night. if she falls back asleep, i know she wasn't really hungry. if she continues to fuss, i feed her. hope this helps.

Re: sleep times
All 3 of my kids go to sleep around 8:00-8:30 and wake between 6 and 7am. The one who gives me the biggest fight is the 2 yr old (must be the age Trish!) but the baby is 5 1/2 mths and my oldest is 4 and they go to sleep pretty well.
