sleep training acid reflux baby...help!

Hi Ladies....if you have a baby that has acid reflux, how did you sleep train your LO if he/she has to be in the upright position for about 30 minutes?

Thanks!

Re: sleep training acid reflux baby...help!

Hmmm...I'm not quite sure what you mean by sleep training?
My DS is 7 months and we have been dealing with acid reflux since he was 2 months old - we hold him upright for 30 min after a bottle/food. When he was little, he would just fall asleep in our arms and I would transfer him to a rocker or swing or bouncer that had a nice high incline. At night, our routine is to hold him in the rocking chair for 30 min and then put him to bed. If he falls asleep, he usually stays asleep but if he wakes up, we would just put on the mobile and he would go back down without a fuss.
Now that he is older and has set nap times, I just make sure that he eats at least 30 min before his nap so he can be put down in his crib at that time. It seems to be going well but I would say that it wasn't until he was about 4-5 months that I started getting him on a feeding and napping schedule.
Now, I make sure he is still upright after he eats during the day by putting him in the exersaucer or seat positioner and let him play there.
This is working well for us
