Sleeping against the crib rails...
Does anyone else's DC sleep up against the rails of the crib? DS is 7 months, and I have noticed that now that he is better at rolling and balancing himself, he is a side sleeper (just like mommy  ) He will roll up on his side and either hold on to one of the rails while he is falling asleep, or stick his hand or foot through the rail (not his whole arm or leg). It's funny, the main reason I moved him out of the bassinet at 8 weeks was because he was turning his face into the side of that too.
should I be worried about this? I never had bumpers, because the suffocation risk bothered me when he was younger. I don't think the breathable bumpers fit our crib since there isn't a post at the corner, we have a solid head and footboard.

DS was often up against the rails, and he never had bumpers. I figured, if he was uncomfortable, he would move. Almost every night, he would wind up against the sides, so I guess it couldn't have been too bad...

DD is a side sleeper too...she gets up pretty close to the side of the crib...we do have breathable bumpers but if we didnt and she wasnt hurting herself I wouldnt be concerned...as long as shes sleeping!

DS is against the rail or side panels all the time. We never had a crib bumper either. He just likes the feel of it.

he scrunches himself curled up against the rail!!! it looks so uncomfortable, but hey,whatever makes them sleep right
