sleeping getting worse
i posted last night, but really looking for some more advice. 7.5 month old lately has been SCREAMING when i put her down at night. this is a kid who for 7.5 months, i put her in crib, she rolls over and goes to sleep. i nurse before bed, but not to sleep - to drowsy. but the past few nights, as soon as her head hits the crib, its hysterics. i have no idea how to deal. i've been giving her her favorite stuffed rattle, which will keep her calm, but shes also not going to sleep

Re: sleeping getting worse
i'm sorry! i know how frustrating it must be...are you sure there is nothing bothering her? stuffy nose? belly ache? how long has this been going on? it may just be that she is getting more aware and is initially missing you when you put her down. i know, b/c my DD is 9mths and goes to sleep the same EXACT way. i nursed until drowsy after some books and she seemed happy to go to sleep after. last week i had to stop nursing but she still took to going to bed well. now she is really sick and putting her down is a nigthmare! i cannot believe it is the same child who used to just roll over and go to sleep. i know when something is bothering her she will not just roll over and sleep. could your DD be teething badly? usually they feel the pain once they are placed down too. are you ok with doing CIO? if so, that might be an option for you. she might have to CIO and self soothe to learn to go to sleep again. i wish you luck! this could just be a quick phase too!
