Sleeping/Napping Question
My Daughter is just 6 weeks and we are having issues during the day..she will say fall asleep after a bottle or in my arms and put her down in various spots..bouncer/packnpaly/swing and with in 5 minutes she is awake..i pick her up she falls back asleep i put her down she wakes up..it is like a bad game we played all day today she probably only slept for 2 hours today..and would have slept better if i let her sleep on my chest all day! she is a little better at night but she is still getting up every 4 hours!! What should i expect from a 6 week old? Is there something i can do to help this out?? I know some baby's sleep through the night at six weeks but no my little girl..i just would love to see her nap better during the day!
Thanks

Re: Sleeping/Napping Question
First, reset your expectations. It is very, very rare for a 6 week old to sleep through the night. You have a long road ahead of you if you compare yourself to the very rare and lucky few all along. (Coming from the mom of a 19 month old who still wakes up at least once a night.) At six weeks it is totally common and normal for a baby to want to be held and there is nothing wrong with letting her nap on your chest at this age. If you don't want to be stuck on the couch, perhaps you could wear a baby bjorn or sling.

Re: Sleeping/Napping Question
I know my daughter is gassy and has tummy issues we are now on Alimentum which has helped I think a bit but we are still in the process of figuring out exactly what her issues are if they are gas, lactose intolerant...etc.
Thanks for your help and advice!!
