Can I come back? Question for those who had a miscarriage
I wish I didnt have to, but unfortunately, I am back here. I just got the official word today that I am miscarrying. I am miscarrying naturally, and wont need a d&c. The dr says that I have to wait 2 cycles to try again! This seems like way too long for me! Does anyone know why they make you wait so long?

Re: Can I come back? Question for those who had a miscarriage
i am so sorry for your loss....my thoughts are with you and your dh. i wish i could be of more help to you but i am wondering if the dr. is suggesting the wait to see your cycle pattern and perhaps make an accurate due date the next time around? i am only assuming that b/c w/ the pill and stopping it, my dr. said that is why. i know this is very different and i am sure the other ladies will be more accurate. i wish you only wonderful things in the future and hope your stay here is short.

Re: Can I come back? Question for those who had a miscarriage
Hi, I am so sorry for your loss. I just recently miscarried also. The doctor told me that my levels have to get back down to 0 before we start trying again. Did the doctor tell you what your levels were?

Re: Can I come back? Question for those who had a miscarriage
Once you get your period your levels will be at zero. If you feel you can hadle it emotionally there are Dr's that say you can try again the next time you ovulate. My Dr did-we didn't get PG but there are a few people on here that have gotten PG 1st month after miscarriage-Sweetness is one-she just had her little girl. You should FM her

Re: Can I come back? Question for those who had a miscarriage
i am so sorry, liz...
i believe that the theory behind making women wait at least one month is that the presence of at least one normal period basically ensures that all of the products of conception have been shed. i'm not sure why waiting two cycles would be important...

Re: Can I come back? Question for those who had a miscarriage
I am so sorry for your loss, but that is the norm to wait. I had a D&C in august and have to wait 3 months. It's forever, but I am ok with it now and everything works out for us to start again the new year. Good luck.

Re: Can I come back? Question for those who had a miscarriage
I am so sorry Liz.
I replied to your FM.
I was told to wait 2 months to TTC, but DH and I figured if my body couldn't handle a pg, i wouldn't get pg. And I did, 3 weeks after my M/c.
I wound up questioning my dr and he told me there is no medical reason to wait, they tell you to wait primarily for emotional and to date the pg (testing, due dates, etc). I had a natural m/c, and my levels were down to non pg level by 2-3 days. I was charting and conceived my DD on August 13th, I m/c'd 7/20/05 and she was born 5/2/06 perfectly healthy and wonderful!
For anyone who has m/c'd my heart goes out to you, and a great read to put things in perspective and gets you thinking and opens lines of communication with DH is the book "Trying Again", I think it's is by Ann Morgan. It helped me tremendously and tested myself if i was truly ready for the TTC rollercoaster.

Re: Can I come back? Question for those who had a miscarriage
First off, I would like to send some . I guess every doctor is different. I have had a misscarriage as well and my doctor told me to wait one natural cycle. Letting your body get back to normal. Goodluck

Re: Can I come back? Question for those who had a miscarriage
I am so sorry! I just went through this two weeks ago, and I miscarried naturally too. I was told to wait one cycle so my numbers go back down, and to only wait longer if I felt I needed to emotionally.

Re: Can I come back? Question for those who had a miscarriage
My dr also told me to wait 2 cylces. I think it gives your uterus time to "rebuild" and get strong again. I have friends who didnt wait and got prego right after the first cycle though (apparently your body is much more fertile right after a mc). It seems that even doctors are split on this...
Please FM me if you ever want to talk it!
