Sleeping position!
Can you actually hurt the baby if you wind up on your stomach during the night?

Good question. I wish I knew the answer. Honestly, I hit 16 weeks and literally one night, it was no longer comfortable to be on my belly. I would imagine you could crush the baby.

Re: Sleeping position!
I think it has to do with circulation, as well.

Re: Sleeping position!
My doc said until it is uncomfortable you can sleep on your belly. His advice about sleeping was if your comfortable your baby is comfortable. Makes sense to me....

Re: Sleeping position!
I start on my left side but always end up on the right too. I cannot stay on one side constantly. My left butt cheek gets too sore...LOL

Re: Sleeping position!
My doc said it was ok, as long as youre comfortable that way. She says the baby is so well protected inside that it won't hurt him/her.

MY doctor said the same thing - believe me - there comes a point - where you won't be able to sleep on your stomach anymore - you'll know when it happens - until then - you and your baby should be fine.
