SLR moms

Ok, so I got my canon rebel at christmas time, still haven't read the manual, still only know how to point and shoot.

Tomorrow, we are going to the aquarium, any advice on what settings to use...I'm assuming it will be dark and that my flash is going to go off and hit the glass or something

i shoot everything manually, but for starters i would see if you can do this:

1. at a minimum, bump up your ISO to 800
2. use AV mode and set to highest aperture (which equals the smallest f-stop number)

if the shutter speed is too slow causing blurry photos, then you may want to bump up the ISO even higher, but then you run the risk of getting grainy photos...

low light is hard if you don't have the right equipment.
