Moms of 3 yr old girls...When did my sweet 2 yr old DD turn into a 3 yrd old Bossy Bess????
So my sweet little miss Gracie is turning into a bossy bess. Tonight I put her in time out twice for being bossy. I mean REALLY bossy. With a hand on her hip, her finger pointed at me and a 'TUDE thrown in for good measure.
I wonder if I am handling it correctly by giving time outs? Should I start taking toys away that i know she LOVES? I hate disciplining. HATE IT. Yet, I do not want "THE BRATTY KID" at the supermarket who bosses their mom around. I can easily see my kid being the lead Heather (wow I am dating myself with that movie reference) in HS if I do not curb this NOW. KWIM?
She is normally so sweet yet, she has this streak of bossiness and stubbornness in her that is driving me batty. Gee, wonder where she gets it from ??? 
Anyway, any advice from BTDT moms? Thanks!

its because at that age they're possessed.

LMAO! Ok, so its not just her and all 3yr olds act like this? WOW...I thought it was terrible 2's not 3's. And the kicker...she is not even 3 yet! She will turn 3 May 10th! Its gonna be a LOOONNNNGGGG year 
Ladies, I don't know if I have it in me to battle every night like we did tonight. She NEVER acted like this until recently. Lord, give me strength.

Kaitee will be 3 in August. She is VERY bossy. She even gets bossy with the dog When she lets the dog out to go pee I hear her counting (trying to make her go faster). All day long she bosses her sister around too

I could have writtent this! Kayleigh has had the worst attitude problem lately & I'm going crazy. Yesterday I asked her to do something and she stomped and screamed "NO!" I told her if she didn't drop her attitude she'd be getting a time out. She put her hands on her hips and said, in a mocking type voice, "Oh well yeah? You think so? I don't!"  Needless to say, she got that time out. She's also been telling me that I'm punished a lot lately. Usually the reason is that I'm "behaving like a meanie".
So far, I've been doing time outs, taking a toy away, or taking away TV time.

This post made me laugh. My daughter is 3 going on 33. I just said to my MIL last night that it's amazing how 3 years ago she was totally dependent on us for everything, didn't talk, didn't have an opinion etc....
Now she is still dependent on us..but she THINKS we are dependent on HER. She has a MAJOR opinion about everything and loves to tell everyone what to do. Sometimes it's ok, and sometimes it's not...it's a REALLY important time to discipline or else who knows what they are capable of.
