small dining room
would a round table work best for a small space or a rectangle? If you have a small dinig room, what kind of dining set do you have?

Us too - oval with a leaf, 4 chairs.
We don't have a formal dining room, so we needed to conserve space.

We have a Boat Shaped table. I believe it's 42" wide in the middle and then it tappers down a little smaller on the ends.
Can't really see the different in the width in this pic. Sorry.

Unless you're going to put it toward acorner, a round table takes up a bit more space than a rectangle or oval IMO (I'd prefer a rectangle b/c that's just b/c I don't like ovals.......)

A round table takes up more space.
If you can find an oval, go with that, otherwise I vote small rectangle.

We ended up getting a 42" wide table instead of the more standard 48" wide. And it has two 20" leaves, so it entends long enough for 12 people.

i have a small dining room in a cape- when we moved our rectangular set in it feels bulky--- i recommend the oval.....
