Small gift for second time mom
Need some mommy advice:
A friend just had her second DD. Her first one is only 14 months old. I want to bring a small gift when I go to see her - $25 - $30.
Any ideas?
What about a bag of lotions, powders, etc. I figure you always need that stuff - what brands though?
I want to avoid clothes as I know she has a TON of hand me downs from the first baby.

I know it's not fun, but I was so happy when people brought diapers when we had baby #2. It was nice to not have to spend money on them for a little while.

I like personalized stuff for # 2 as they usually end up with hand me downs so its nice that they have something for themselves!!
Pottery barn kids has cute hooded towels plus they have really cute globes on sale for $19.99 now with free shipping - they have a rocking horse and a teddy bear and they play a lullaby - I thinking of buying some to have on stand by.

I agree with the personalized stuff for #2 from pottery barn etc. Those were the gifts I loved the most.

I agree with the OP about GC for takeout - a few people gave that to me when I had DD and it helped a TON!
or a GC for a mani/pedi

how about an edible arrangement? i got one when i had the twins and that was my fave!! it was soooo good!!!!!
oh i also got a big box of Godiva chocolates. that was one of my faves too!!!

Personalized gift or gc for food. I just had my 2nd DC and honestly, gc for food are such a huge life saver!!!

Definitely don't do lotions and powders. Every kid is different and they may have sensitive skin. I also say don't give clothes.
I think a new mom could always use new bibs, receiving blankets, and wash cloths.
Gift cards are probably the most useful but it may seem impersonal.

diapers are a good idea. picture frames are cute, photo albums. my friend just got me these cute stickers from etsy that you can put on the baby's onesie each month for the monthly photos :) gift card to BRU

I have two DS's, also close in age. I loved when people gave me matching clothing, or Big Brother-Little Brother things for them to wear.
Or personalized things... No one bought DS2 anything personalized... I ended up ordering him a bunch of stuff myself!
