small size living room furniture?

anyone know of good websites or stores to check...my living room isnt that large and eventually want to get new furniture for it, not sure where to start bc i dont want it to overpower the room and be too big..maybe even a small sectional? tia

I've recently been to many stores and macy's & JCP both had some reasonably priced sectionals that were on the smaller side

ETA: there will probably be good sales coming up MLK weekend (1/15-1/17)

I would suggest you look for apartment size furniture-they are smaller than the regular sized ones(72" for a sofa instead of 87"). Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel etc have special sections for apartment sized furniture. We ended up getting a smaller scale sofa from Macys.

i have a smaller scale sectional from Macys. Ikea has smaller stuff too....PB, C&B might have apt sized but they are a little more pricey...if you go with a dept store you might be able to get a good MLK sale...

CB2 has smaller size furniture. And West Elm has some gorgeous "sofettes" (smaller sofas).

we have a smaller living room and just got new furniture. it was very frustrating at first because when we measured all of the sofa and love seats sets that we liked, they were way too big. we even ordered a set and had it delivered and it looked ridiculous because it was way too big for the room. we wound up going with a small sectional. we asked them to show us the smallest they had. we love it.

definitely take lots of measurements. i even made up a little diagram and brought it with us to make sure it would work. and don't be afraid to ask for help and tell them you only want to see furniture that will fit in smaller areas.

Room and Board has living room furniture in smaller sizes. They have a big showroom in SoHo if you want to see the pieces in real life. Pottery Barn has apartment scale furniture too.

Check out simplicity sofas. You can check out there website - there stuff comes in a range of sizes for each collection. We ordered a catalog from them but ulitimately found something at Ashley that fit in our small living room (after looking for a long time) Also IKEA has some smaller size stuff
