Small teacher gifts
I have already started brainstorming teacher gifts. DD is in an inclusion class with two teachers and an assistant. A letter went home from the parent of a student requesting that each student send money to contribute to a gift card from the class. I do love this idea but I still wanted to do something small in addition. I was thinking something personalized (keychain, tumbler, etc.) or a small cute goodie bag. Any suggestions? I don't want something big since the class is already doing a gift but I would just like something small in addition.

Re: Small teacher gifts
Gift cards are really the best.
Second, maybe a small, nice box of chocolates (Godiva, Lintz), sampler of teas, coffee.
This year I'm giving a box of chocolates and a small gift card to Barnes and Noble.
As a fellow teacher, I do not give personalized gifts. After a couple of years of teaching, one can have dozens of coffee mugs etc. The thought is nice, but everyone has the same thought and they add up quickly.

Re: Small teacher gifts
Someone posted on the SN board yesterday that she has breakfast bagels and such catered for all her daughter's teachers one day.
I thought this was a terrific idea.
I also have gotten DS teachers in the past each an orchid that are around $10 each at Stop & Shop.
Otherwise, I don't think you can go wrong with a gift card to Starbucks or similar. Even Target for if they want to pick up something for the classroom.

Small teacher gifts
I did for my end of year gifts last year the keychains above (I stole the idea from the poster lol) and I have to say all the teachers LOVED them. Some of them called me at home to tell me how much they appreciated it and it was so different. Great gift!

I would LOVE this! So cute! I very rarely get gifts from the kids because of where I work, so these threads always make me jealous! :D
I would appreciate any gift but these are adorable!

I agree! I also teach and rarely get the gifts that other teachers may get. I definitely want to get something more personal. The keychains are kinda what I had in mind.

That's adorable!
I have seen those before and say I'm going to buy one and then forget about it.
What a great gift though!

Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks GCs. A box of candy is nice too.

Gift cards are always great. $5 to DD and I even got a gas card once for Hess! Loved that! I also like ornaments.

Re: Small teacher gifts
Gift cards are the best. I've gotten $15 gift certificate to a local deli so the teacher can get lunch there.

Re: Small teacher gifts
DS is in Pre-K and is in the breakfast program for the first hour, also interacts regularly with the Director, the owner, then has a teacher and two assistants.
I decided to go through with the food idea.
I am picking up wraps and salads today and dropping them off at school.
The Director notified the staff and told them not to bring in lunch today.
I only gave his OT a gift card to Starbucks since she is only there a couple times a week.
BTW, Stop & Shop is where I ordered from. Their catering is VERY inexpensive and I am just going to pick up the premade salads in the case that are like $2.99 each since I know they run more in the deli.
ETA: Also, my thought is it's holiday time. It's nice to just acknowledge them and their hard work mid-year. I'd do a gift-gift (something physical they can hold) as more of an end-of the year farewell remember you present.

Small teacher gifts
I wound up ordering the keychains off etsy on December 7 and still not in. I hope they make it in, otherwise I don't know what I can figure out by tomorrow. The UPS tracking said it will be in tomorrow. I hope it is accurate! Entering panic mode...

Re: Small teacher gifts
I got my DD's teacher a warm cozy blanket (only $15 at Target) along with a bag of holiday blend coffee and chocolates. I put a little note in there that read, "..............for a long winters nap".
