Small vacuum for quick clean ups
Right now, I have a eureka stick that is rechargeable. It's for after dinner or last minute cleanings.
Thinking about a new one.
Cordless or cord?
Recommendations?

we have this one too. for the most part i really like it, except it doesn't always pick up big pieces of food. which annoys me, because i really use it mostly for kid food messes.

We have the Shark version of this but it has a cord so it is a little more powerful. It gets the job done.

I just got the shark rocket ultra light. So far I like it, don't quite love it though. It's very convenient but doesn't pick up big pieces sometimes and I find the attachment awkward to use. But it's very compact, easy to empty, and gets the job done for the most part. Huge improvement from my cheapie cordless and much more convenient than my full size which is impossible to wrestle in and out of my broom closet.

Re: Small vacuum for quick clean ups
I have the Dyson v6; got it for a great deal at Costco before Christmas. It was working great...area rug, wood floors, shoe molding, HVAC vents...I used all the attachments. Then, BAM... just stopped working. Shut off for no apparent reason. I tried charging it, emptying the bin, looking for something stuck, all negative. I've never had much luck with Dyson products; and their Customer Service stinks. When I bought a full-size Dyson a few years ago and it didn't work on my area rugs, I called C.S. -- it was BRAND NEW; and they went through a few trouble shooting ideas with me, to no avail. They wouldn't do ANYTHING for me...no refund, no replacement, no credit toward a different product...nothing. Luckily, BBB took it back and gave me a full refund. Now I prefer Shark. So the Dyson is going back to Costco this weekend.
