smart casual
uh - what?
i'm going to a champagne and chocolate party and it's being held in an nyc apartment.
the dress on the evite says smart casual...
soooo - what would you wear?

I'd look to some of the dressier outfits in Jcrew for inspiration. Or a dress would work, just don't go with bejeweled strappy heels.
I'd kind of  if I got an invite with a dress code to a house party.
You'd think people know how to dress for a champagne and chocolate party.
