Snack/Lunch ideas
I need some healthy lunch ideas that don't require heating or refrigeration please!
I'm an independent contractor SLP who works in 5-6 preschools each day. I'm constantly in my car and need some things I can quickly snack on and something to eat for lunch that doesn't need to be heated (I could bring an ice pack thing if it needed minimal refrigeration). I need things that are quick and easy please! I don't want to cook anything and some nights I don't get home until 8pm so I don't want anything that requires a lot of prep for the next day.
TIA!

Re: Snack/Lunch ideas
maybe a peanut butter sandwich? or Nutella?
I'd stock up on fruit leather strips, granola bars (like Luna Bars) and dried fruit.

Re: Snack/Lunch ideas
I used to eat in my car when I traveled from one school to another. My go to was usually rolled up cold cuts and cheese. I would also suggest almonds since a few can gold you over pretty well, granola bars that have lots of fiber or protein, cut up veggies, pbj, bananas, high fiber pop tarts.

Re: Snack/Lunch ideas
This is what I did when I worked long days and had no refrigeration and wanted little prep work:
I put in sandwich-sized and snack-sized ziplock bags a variety of things off of this list depending on what I had on hand. This might work out well for you because you can have two or three things in between one center and then if you get hungry again later, you still have some more food to go to:
Some of the items I would use: -dry cereal (usually cinnamon-pecan special K) -baby carrots -sliced cucumbers -sliced red and green peppers -grapes (red and green) -clementines -mini-chocolate bars -granola bars -string beans -sugar snap peas -pretzels -crackers -dried apricots -nuts
ETA: with an ice pack container you can take hummus singles or do peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or maybe string cheese

Re: Snack/Lunch ideas
Wht about a wrap? They're very easy to eat in the car. Maybe turkey or grilled chicken. For snacs: grapes, baby carrots, and pretzels are some of my favs.
