I don’t give a lunch snack—just sandwich and fruit. Maybe on occasion a cookie for Friday/special day. For others I’ll do: Cut fruit or veggies Pretzels/crackers Cheese sticks Yogurt Granola bar

its SO SO hard when it has to be peanut free, too. ( I mean, i get it, but i feel like i end up sending the same stuff because i know its "school safe". they like strawberries or grapes, cut up cheese, rice krispie treats, goldfish, those apple chip things, granola bars (but they can only eat those in the cafeteria at lunch, not in the classroom during snack time...) They like that SmartFood cheddar popcorn....
after school is basically the same thing- some cut up fruit, and some chips or something. They also like the Costco trail mix, too that has the nuts and a few M&Ms in it. My older son also like Grahm Crackers with some peanut butter on them, too

Re: Snacks
For school and lunch snacks it's one of the following:
Apple slices (the one that come pre cut in the individual bags)
Goldfish
Kids Cliff Bar
Cheese stick
After school she likes to have either goldfish, some ice cream, or some chips like Dorritos, a yogurt, another cheese stick or sometimes cookies

My 1st grader takes a kid's cliff bar every day for snack. In her lunch she gets just gets fruit and sometimes pretzels. After school they don't snack much but if they do it's fruit, pretzels, tortilla chips, dry cereal, or cheese sticks.

I send a bag of snacks weekly so she can choose each day. I try not to send anything refrigerated. She gets applesauce, pretzels, veggie straws, goldfish, graham crackers, cereal bar, those bel vita cookie packs, ritz cheese crackers, fruit snacks. It’s a carb fest.

My daughters diet consists solely of carbs. She's on the reverse Atkins plan

Lunch and classroom snacks: fruit/veggie (strawberries, apples, blueberries, grapes, carrots, cucumbers), cheese stick, cut up cheese w/ crackers, pretzels, goldfish, cheez its, graham crackers, granola bar, clif kids bar, dried apple chips or yogurt. On Fridays, she gets a treat like pringles, pirates booty, or doritos and a cookie.
We don’t really do after school snacks because we eat dinner on the early side.

Do you guys separate the lunch and school snacks? My child just started buying his lunch (ugh) so i have no idea what he actually eats in the cafeteria. I wind up sending in applesauce, pretzles/goldfish/cheese its or something like that and sometimes a cookie or something fun. I sometimes do yogurt sticks (frozen) or string cheese.

Yes, I separate. Lunch bag for lunch and then a smaller zipper pouch bag for her classroom snack.

I send her lunch in her lunchbox and her snack in a small velcro pouch with her name on it. I used to use a paper lunch bag for snack but I wanted something reusable.

Re: Snacks
For lunch at school, he usually gets a piece of fruit. Today I sent pretzels with hummus. Sometimes a cheese stick and sometimes a tube of yogurt.
For snack at school in the afternoon he gets a pouch of apple sauce, fruit snacks, the Brookside Chocolate covered blueberries or a granola bar.
After school he'll eat all sorts of crap. Hence the healthier things at school. LOL

Re: Snacks
Lunch snack? -grapes -a tiny piece of candy -annie's cracker mix -cheese stick/circle -mixed nuts
School snack? -annie's cookies -cheese stick/circle -applesauce -popcorn cakes -pretzels
After school snack? -roasted seaweed -fresh fruit (bananas, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, watermelon, kiwi, etc.) -leftovers from breakfast (oatmeal or yogurt) -salad -cheese stick/circle
My girl loves her cheese. I also don't send anything that needs to be refrigerated for school snack because it won't stay good. I don't always send a lunch snack, just extra food basically. and after school snacks are endless.

I try to limit “bad” snacks at school since he eats so much garbage at home. Lol

Re: Snacks
Gogurt (freeze so it stays cold and if still frozen, it’s like ice bar) Popcorn bag (skinny pop from Costco) Dole fruit cups Goldfish crackers Granola bars (nut free) Carrot sticks Grapes Blueberries Cherry tomatoes Apples Banana Pears Clementines Rice crispy treats Welch’s fruit snacks (very rarely as my dentist hates them) Pretzels Whole grain chips Everything bagel pretzels Cheese sticks/Babybell cheeses
I rotate stuff so that they get sick of it and then miss it The only one who doesn’t get carrots or grapes is the 3 year old because I have to cut it and I don’t like doing things in the AM!

So where are all the parents that send in chips or fruit snacks/?? My child is always complaining to me that everyone else gets those and he gets stuck with applesauce, fruit and cheese. Lately ive been letting him have a small bag of cookies, animal crackers, or chips in addition to the good stuff. So glad school is ending!!!

Yeah DD tells me of the kids who bring in cookies, cakes, Doritos, potato chips. I let her take in a bag of pirate booty or even dorritos if we have them in the house. And sometimes a few chips ahoy I'm not one to stand on healthy eating though. Her and I both eat like shit. It is, what it is, I don't put on airs. LOL

THANK YOU -- not one person listed anything in the "unhealthy"column with the exception of rice krispy treats. I feel like my kid eats healthy but one "junk" snack a day isnt going to hurt overall.

My son is in JHS. He gets a sandwich, chips, an applesauce pouch (LOL), muffins, a drink and a fruit snack. I also always put $2 in in case he wants something from the vending machines.
Is it the healthiest? No. Is it the worst? No.

Snacks
school snacks: Stonyfield smoothie or yogurt squeeze tube fruit cheese stick crackers or skinnypop
Lunch snack: Always chips or pretzels
They're thin as rails but literally this is what I pack every day. My one DD refuses to eat a cheese stick unless it's the yellow and white swirly kind, so she doesn't get it every day (insert eye-roll) and she would also take beef bologna every day if I let her. The other one eats like a dude, and she's a stick God Bless her

My kids eat a TON of crap at home. I tend to send healthy stuff to school bc then they have no choice but to eat it, or be hungry. They usually eat it.

This is the same thing I wrote above - lol.
I typically send in a special treat - oreo dippers, bag of chips, fruit snacks, etc - on Fridays. I really try to limit fruit snacks though as my side is prone to cavities.
