Sneaking out of the house...

If you did describe the time you did & the time you got caught.

==============
To answer my own question:

We used to sneak down 25A to HoJo's for shakes in the middle of the night.

The time we got caught, we snuck out on the boat at 3am to go to a party on an island in the middle of the harbor. We rescued our drunk friend who was abandoned.

In the morning, my mom got a phone call from a neighbor that saw us docking the boat on our way back. We told my mom we went to Northport for bagels because the deli around the corner opened at 6am & we wanted bagels at 5am.

Re: Sneaking out of the house...

OMG- all the time. My HS boyfriend would pick me up and we'd go hang out in Long Beach or Oceanside with friends who had later curfews than me (I was ALWAYS grounded). We never "did" anything more than make-out....

What's funny is that I would do the typical "pillow under the covers" thing, but I'd also leave a NOTE stating where I was, who I was with, and what time I'd be home. I covered all bases- even if I got punished for sneaking out- she couldn't use the "I thought you'd been kidnapped" routine......

I snuck out a few times. My friend was housesitting a neighbor's house and we went to hang out at the house...when I was sneaking back in my dog started barking like crazy and I got caught and was grounded for a month.

Later in life I had boyfriends sneak IN though...Chat Icon

Re: Sneaking out of the house...

Never snuck out. Besides the fact that I was a boring, good girl in h.s. I also lived in a ranch and my parents bedroom was right across the hall. They had super sensitive hearing and could hear me get out of bed, never mind sneak out of the house.

I did that, too. My family still teases me about this. I shared a room with my sister and she was out that nite. I had my bf sneak in and my sister came home. I put him in the closet. I snuck him out when my sister left the room.

I never really snuck out. I did one time to a friends party, but that was it.

Re: Sneaking out of the house...

I have a good one.

I DID sneak out numerous times.

This one though was when my parents were getting separated. I left through the very silent den sliding door around 1AM. Came back home around 5:30 AM and my Dad was sleeping on the couch and woke up. He was all groggy and said, where were you. I blurted out the first thing I thought of and said, "I went to meet (my friend) She was upset. His response was OK go to bed. Close one!

Re: Sneaking out of the house...

Once and only once in HS...I don't even remember why...I was grounded I think I climbed out the window. I was a nerd in HS so it wasn't even for anything good I betChat Icon

ETA..I just remember the sheer guilt of sneaking out kept me from enjoying whatever the heck I snuck out for
