Snow Day Monday!
This was fun yesterday- what are you all making today?
I just put my chicken pot pie stew in the slow cooker. In fact it's a recipe from this board and I will make biscuits as a side.
We STILL have leftover Christmas treats, but I STILL want to make my cheesecake brownies this afternoon.

Re: Snow Day Monday!
Going to make a beef tenderloin with sauteed vidalia onions tonight, not sure of the whole menu yet. Maybe potato pierogies and creamed spinach. No dessert. We still have some 7 layer cake, key lime pie and bakery cookies left

I have no clue. Maybe banana bread? The bananas are starting to go and perfect for baking. I want to make chicken soup but my chicken is in the freezer

Re: Snow Day Monday!
Made more sugar cookies and brownies to give to the neighbors who shoveled my car out. Also made monkey bread for breakfast and will make cranberry almond bars, peanut butter choc chip cookies and oatmeal squares. Later I am making a peppercorn pork loin, loaded mashed potatoes and buttermilk biscuits.

Re: Snow Day Monday!
I'm dullsville today. Tired from shovelling and playing in the snow. I made tuna sandwiches with tomato rice soup for lunch. Dinner is pasta with chicken sausage, salad and a red sauce.

Re: Snow Day Monday!
I just chopped some onions and threw some steaks in a wine marinade into the crock pot. Let it sit all day and we will have dinner tonight.
Probably boxed mashed potatoes on the side.

Re: Snow Day Monday!
DH is working 12 hours today so I'm just feeding myself...therefore not bothering with anything big.
I made myself a nice breakfast though- egg whites with spinach and onion and whole wheat toast.

Re: Snow Day Monday!
I'm making shrimp oreganata with garlic angel hair pasta and house salad.
I really wanted to make a chicken soup but I have nothing in my freezer. I'm in serious need of food shopping.

simmering right now is sauce, meatballs, italian sausage, braciole with soup bones
thinking of making russian tea cakes for a light dessert since we went crazy with banana splits last night!

I made a Chicken Soup for lunch. Dinner will be Chicken Cordon Blue, rice and a veggie. My MIL was supposed to have a party yesterday but canceled it because of the snow. So we got one of the tray's of food!

It's one of my favorite slow cooker recipes. It always turns out and it tasty...total comfort food and satisfying on a cold night.
I use the reduced fat soup so it's not SO bad, but I loved having it last night
