Snow Tubing for a DAY
Does anywhere exist where I can take my kids snow tubing for the day? I guess no more than a 2 hour drive? Can we use space inside if we need to change our clothes, etc. It's just me and my kids so I need to plan accordingly. TIA

Snow Tubing for a DAY
Campgaw Mountain in Mahwah NJ. It's about 30 minutes from the GW. We have been a couple of times, and it's great! The staff is really friendly, there are I think 8 runs with 2 lifts. They do 2 hour sessions. We stayed overnight both times since we had hotel points, but totally doable for a day. You have to buy your tickets online in advance because they sell out!
They do have bathrooms you could change in, but I would just wear all of your warm stuff, then just put your snowpants/boots/coats on in the parking lot. That is what most people were doing, including us.

Snow Tubing for a DAY
Woodbury Ski Area in CT - best tubing ever! It has like 10 runs and a magic carpet. It's about 2 hours away.

Have you taken kids here? I was reading the reviews and most of them said it was so dangerous if you have children, so we never went.

No we were adults. But there were tons of kids there including a birthday party and another group. All of the kids had on helmets.

Ahh gotcha. Just about every review on Trip Advisor is poor. I just read that their lift broke earlier this season and a bunch of people were sent to the hospital. It just doesn't sound like a safe place to me.

We were there two weekends ago and the magic carpet was fine. There was a tow rope that no one was allowed to use maybe that's what broke.
