Snow Vs. Cold Weather Boots
So DH wants to buy me snow boots for Christmas, but I keep coming up with "cold weather" boots. They generally have a wedge heel...something like this...
Can you wear this type of boot in the snow?

Re: Snow Vs. Cold Weather Boots
I would not think you could, because the suede would definitely be ruined.

These are nice, but the suede would definitely get destroyed. Have you looked at the galosh type boots? They are made of rubber. I know Jcrew sells them.
These are the Wellies that Jcrew sells. Not everyone's taste, but still an option.

Re: Snow Vs. Cold Weather Boots
you can use scotch guard or something similar to protect the suede but i not much you can do to protect the sweater material shaft.

The brown boots are from Macy's. They are sooo cute, but DH is being adamant that I can wear them in snow, slush, ice etc.

Re: Snow Vs. Cold Weather Boots
I have rubber ones I picked up at a little shoe store around here and they are actually better than Timberlands because they have a fleece inside and they keep out the moisture..they weren't expensive, either..$40 max.
